Stovetop to Storefront

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Madison County in partnership with Nelson Farms Country Store and Production Facility is hosting a Stovetop to Storefront workshop.

At this no experience necessary workshop, participants will learn to take a secret family recipe and turn it into a new local favorite! New entrepreneurs and seasoned pros alike will participate in discussions on product development, food safety, rules & regulations, labeling/packaging requirements and best practices for marketing your product once it is developed. If you have a working recipe and would like to bring a small sample for other participants to try, we can also test it for shelf stability! This evening event will be hosted at Nelson Farms, 3261 US Route 20, Cazenovia, NY 13035 on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at 5:30 PM, with dinner being provided in the $25 registration fee. Participants will leave with insights on how to take a recipe of their own from stovetop to storefront.
