 The Second Saturday Stewardship Series is held at Cornell Cooperative Extension of Madison County at 100 Eaton Street Morrisville, NY. The program on November 11th includes presentations on Forest Pests including ticks, Emerald Ash Borer, Hemlock Woolly Adelgid, and Spotted Lanternfly followed by a woods walk. The series is designed to help current and perspective woodlot owners take the next steps to achieving their forest management goals - but it is open to all with an interst in the topics! Whether you are an experienced conservationist or a novice woodlot owner, this series has something to offer everyone. All sessions in this series include two hours of classroom learning followed by a woodswalk where participants are able to experience the management principles learned earlier in the day. Guest speakers will include the NRCS State Forester, DEC Foresters, Certified Foresters, Certified Tree Farm Owners, Master Forester Owners, many more. Join us for one or more of the upcoming topics:

  • November 11 – Forest Pests
  • January 13 – Maple Production
  • February 10 – Non-timber Forest Products
  • Doors opens at 9:30am and the presentations will begin promptly at 10 a.m. The cost to attend is $10 per session and includes light refreshments, lunch, and printed materials.
