Join Us for the Colgate Community Garden's Garden Series

WORKSHOP TWO is on Sunday, June 11th, 2017 from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm at COMMON THREADS CSA Community Farm located at 3424 Lake Moraine Road, Madison, New York hosted by COLGATE COMMUNITY GARDEN and sponsorship by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Madison County.

Whether you have a small home plot or a large garden for profit, it is rewarding and cost effective to grow your own food.. The June 11th workshop will focus on scouting for pest and best pest management on your fields and within your garden. A casual talk will kick off the workshop followed by a guided pest scouting tour of Common Threads.

Wear walking shoes!

Future Garden Series' workshops are as followed:

  • June 11, 2017 –           Scouting and Managing Garden Pests
  • August 27, 2017 –       Proper Harvest and Post-Harvest Handling (Food Safety Modernization Act)
  • September 24, 2017 – Soil Health and Composting
